British Grand Prix 2021 at Caffeine & Machine

A sunny weekend in July was enjoyed by all at Caffeine and Machine who watched the British Grand Prix live from Silverstone.

This time our friends at the boutique coffee house, bar, and restaurant called on us at ATC to install LED screens in two outdoor areas.

Formula 1 fans sat in the main car park to watch what is always a highlight of the British sporting summer.

The Alpine Paddock, a second, semi-private area was also set up with a screen and audio to carry the action. Sponsorship for this area came from Alpine Cars, who displayed one of their Formula 1 cars along with their new A110 road car.

Our Unilumin Utile III 3.9mm outdoor LED panels were used in each area, a perfect choice in such a bright location. Channel 4 provided the broadcast feed for the weekend, and our Novastar 4k processors and Barco Folsom Image Pro II Scan Converters brought the spectacular race action to screen. Chauvet Freedom Par Outdoor uplighters bought some vibrant colour to the Alpine Paddock.

A great PA system was crucial to bring the exciting sounds of the race and commentary to the Formula 1 fans at Caffeine and Machine. We chose our Soundcraft mixing desks, d&b Y-series speakers and D12 amplifiers to relay the excitement from Silverstone.

After a first lap collision with Max Verstappen and a 10 second penalty, Lewis Hamilton fought back to win the Grand Prix. A perfect result for British racing fans enjoying an awesome weekend in the sun with Caffeine and Machine and ATC.
