On the evening of 14th January, we here at ATC were proud to support Culture Central, Aerosolali (Mohammed Ali) and Birmingham City Council in celebrating 130 years of the Birmingham City status. We were asked to supply full technical support which consisted of large scale projection mapping, lighting and audio at the Birmingham City Council House in Victoria Square.

To get the best out of the event, we opted to use 3 of our Panasonic PT-RZ31k projectors to map the building. Signal to these was supplied by our Barco S3-4k and the mapping was achieved by using our Disguise 4x4pro to playback the content. We also had a live feed from Aerosolali’s iPad, which was used to project live graffiti on to the building.

For the lighting, we used the 8 x Robe 600e Spots and 8 x Robe 300e washes. Along side these we used 24 x Chauvet Freedom Par Quad-4 IP to provide ambient lighting to the entrance of the Council House.

Audio wise we spec’d 2 x d&b Y-Sub‘s. 6 x d&b Y8‘s and 2 x d&b Y12‘s. These were powered buy 3 of our d&b D20 Amplifiers and a Yamaha QL5.
